You Do Not Have to Be a Super Hero to Accomplish Your Goals
You Don't Have to Be a Super Hero to Accomplish Your Small Business Goals
Kids want more toys. Parents want more options. Startups want greater small business success. What's your goal?
Let's take a quick look at five steps you and your kids can take to set and accomplish super goals as ordinary human beings.
1. Be Sepecific
A goal for more toys, options or greater success is not something you can accomplish. However, by adding some specifics, it becomes a goal you could accomplish.
Kids: I want a Mickey Mouse, 12" Face Backpack with 3D Ears.
2. Write It Down
When you write a goal down it becomes real. Just thinking and talking about it won't hold your attention or create a commitment. You can use words or pictures to get your goal on paper.
Kids: I drew a picture and cut out an ad with the price.
3. Have a Plan
What steps do you need to take to accomplish your goal? When does each step start and end? How much time and money are invloved in accomplishing each step and the entire goal?
Kids: It costs $15.96 on Amazon. I'll save my Chores $ to buy it.
4. Don't Give Up
Some times things don't work out as you expected. Adjust your action steps to continue making progress. The hardest part of accomplishing a goal is having a clear vision and a good attitude.
Kids: It was hard to get my chores done this week, but I did.
5. Celebrate
Goals are easy to set but they can be difficult to accomplish. When you achieve your goal take a moment to celebrate. Share your experience with your fellow humans.
Kids: All the kids at school said my new backpack was really cool!
When you accomplish a goal you may feel like a Super Hero, but it just proves an ordinary human with the right steps can achieve goals, too.
